Mantra Chanting

A mantra is a series of words which one must chant repeatedly to achieve beneficial results. Mantra chanting provide spiritual and material benefits. It can help you attain your spiritual goal and also can be used for physical, mental and emotional health purposes. Mantras originated in the Vedic tradition of India, becoming an essential part of the Hindu tradition and a customary practice within Buddhism, Sikhism, and Jainism. Its literal translation would be “instrument of thought”.The most basic mantra is Om, which in Hinduism is known as the “pranava mantra,” the source of all mantras.To attain single-pointedness of mind, repetition of mantra can be done through chanting, speaking, whispering, mental repetition and writing.

There are mantras in all religions. Choose the one of your liking. You can also make your own mantra and recite. If you wish you can also use a rosary or a mechanical counter for aiding mantra chanting. There are many youtube links for mantra chanting. Browse and find what suits you.
